Lola is a classic sailing yacht built to the plans of famed architects Sparkman and Stephens, whose designs have won major international regattas from the Fastnet to the America’s Cup.The original plan was completed in the Netherlands by the no less famous architect Koopmans before Lola was built in Rotterdam by the Royal Huisman shipyard, one of the biggest names in the world of superyachts.  Its sleek lines and build quality speak for themselves.  Very slim steel hull, deep cockpit, ketch rig… a truly classic yacht! Lola was launched in 1972 and completely updated in 2015: new rigging, new deck equipment, new sails, new electrical wiring, new electronic instrumentation, total engine overhaul: nothing was left to chance.  Seduced by both her timeless lines and her excellent condition, her current owners,  Franco-Spanish couple, bought her for a long-distance cruise around the world.  After acquiring it in Tahiti (French Polynesia 2020) and exploring the various Polynesian archipelagos, they sailed to Fiji (2022) where they sadly have decided to part ways with the beautiful Lola for health reasons.  Since its acquisition several improvements have been made. In 2022: Lithium batteries (new 90mm. wiring), solar panels, Mppt (2 victrons), chain (80m.), Windlass, Gps antenna (Raymarine), Balmar regulator, Tachometer, Hydraulic pump (Autopilot), awnings and sprayhood, etc, complete the equipment that we will specify in more detail later.  Beyond her magnificent style, Lola offers many advantages for experienced sailors: large, deep and comfortable central cockpit, well protected, with easy access to the main cabin and aft cabin, significant storage and a true engine room ideal for engine maintenance. Watertight bulkheads and a super solid construction, well above today’s standards, make it an extremely safe boat.  The aft cabin has its own bathroom, 2 single beds and access to the engine compartment. The main cabin combines a living room with a large wooden dining table (8 pax) and two convertible sofa beds, kitchen, chart table and a double cabin with bathroom in the bow.
