DESCRIPTION:13-14th December 2025\n\n\nCYA Patio Bay Weekend\n\nA celebration of classic boats\, good company\, and fun on and off the water!\nJoin us in the Classic Boat Rally\, or the Patio Bay Classic Yacht Race – the 2nd race in the Passage Series.\n“When the journey ends\, the stories begin”. Gather down on the beach for some off-water-fun\, followed by the BBQ; bring your food and drinks and enjoy an evening of camaraderie and celebration.\nProgram of Events\nRALLYING:\nSaturday \nFrom 10:15\, gather for the Classic Boat Rally\, Open to all classic launches\, and yachts. \nWatch from a distance as the Patio Bay Classic Yacht Race start at 1030 and 1100 hours from Orakei buoy\, followed by the log rally competitors. \nThen gather and rally down to Patio Bay\, or join up in the bay in your own time… before 1530hrs recommended. \nThank you for keeping well clear of any racing vessel. \n1130 hours\, start of the Log Rally. Put your entry in below! \nFrom 1600 hours\, up in Patio Bay\, come take part in the Pirate Themed near-off-water event. Check details and RSVP below! \nSunday \nWake up to the wonder of Patio Bay and its classic dwellers\, gather ashore for a morning coffee and stroll before cruising home (or not!) with the rest of the fleet. \nRACING:\nSaturday from 1030 hours from Orakei buoy\, first start of the 2nd Passage Series race\, open to all boats from Classic A Division\, Classic B Division\, and Modern Classic Division\, including Townson. \n\n\nSI\nAmendment \n\n\n             \n\n\n\n\n\nOFF-WATER EVENT:\n\n\nTheme: Upon popular demand\, Pirate theme is back! \nDress : Anything related to the Pirate universe;  be creative\, all sorts of best-dressed prizes to be won. \nPrizes: Yacht racers\, log rallyers\, crew draw\, dinghy rowers\, best dressed\, treasure racing …\, even ‘first crew to shore’ up for grab\nDining: Bring your delicacies to put on the 3 BBQ’s provided and gather by the house. \nEntertainment: Following traditional socialising aboard\, will start from 1630 hours with the dinghy race and treasure hunt\, followed by music\, good company\, and of course\, the rum barrels… \nFrom 1630 hours (Race dependant\, listen in on VHF Channel 17) crew gather ashore with a dinghy with oars for the dinghy race. \n\n\nFollowed by the treasure hunts\, with launch and yacht divisions. \nFor safety and logistics reasons\, we thank you to RSVP Below! \nOrganiser Website: https://classicyacht.org.nz/the-classic-yacht-association-of-new-zealand-2025/all-events/patio-bay-weekend/
