You are given a number of way points to round before finishing on the finish line. You set your own finish time by charting the speed\, tides\, winds etc to calculate your eta. Without looking at a clock… you adjust your speed and direction as you progress. Finisher closest to their eta wins. A good test of seamanship and understanding your vessel.\n\nThere are a series of 3 log rallies in the 2025-2026 calendar. With a series prize giving (including most improved) at the Lawson’s Dry Hills Round Rangitoto Themed Cake Day 2026. Gather down on the beach for some off-water-fun\, followed by the BBQ; bring your food and drinks and enjoy an evening of camaraderie and celebration.\nProgram of Events\nRALLYING:\nSaturday \nFrom 10:15\, gather for the Classic Boat Rally\, Open to all classic launches\, and yachts. \nWatch from a distance as the Patio Bay Classic Yacht Race start at 1030 and 1100 hours from Orakei buoy\, followed by the log rally competitors. \nThen gather and rally down to Patio Bay\, or join up in the bay in your own time… before 1530hrs recommended. \nThank you for keeping well clear of any racing vessel. \n1130 hours\, start of the Log Rally. Put your entry in below! \nFrom 1600 hours\, up in Patio Bay\, come take part in the Pirate Themed near-off-water event. DESCRIPTION:21-23rd November 2025\n\n\nCYA Spring Rally\n\nAs the days are getting warmer\, the Classic Yacht Association (CYA) of New Zealand\, invite you to join the classic fleet for a 3-day rally\, for yachts and launches\, out in the Hauraki Gulf. \nThe event usually includes a flexible rally program departing from North Head at 1100 hours on the Friday\, destinations determined each day based on the weather. \nIf you can’t get away then or later on the Friday\, no matter\, we will let you know where we are headed to on the Saturday. Please join us there. \nAs always\, we will endeavour to not bring the mainsheet hard aboard. \nAt the end of each day enjoy the camaraderie of other classic Corinthians.
