DESCRIPTION:6-8th March 2026\n\n\nPerpetual Guardian Classic Yacht Regatta\n\nRESULTS \nThe flagship classic racing event of the summer!\nThe 3-day regatta hosts a delegation of CYAA Australian representatives and is the scene to some truly magical sailing.\nThe Regatta opens with the skippers briefing on Thursday night. Over the following 3 days the classic yachts compete in 5 races –  before returning to RNZYS for a daily after race function.\nFood and refreshments will be available each night.\n  \nMRX Berths are available for Classic Yachts entered into the regatta – Applications to raceoffice@classicyacht.org.nz and include the following: \n\nDates\nVessel Name\nOwner Name\nOwner mobile number\nCopy of Insurance Certificate for each vessel showing it has a minimum $5million 3rd party liability cover\n\nProgram of Event\nThursday 5 March\n1830 hours\, Meet at RNZYS Regatta HQ (Quarterdeck restaurant) Registration\, collection of race documents.\nComplimentary nibbles will be provided. Bar will be open accepting Visa\, Mastercard and Eftpos only\n\n1900 hours\,Race Briefing \nEssential attendance of the skipper or a designated crew member.\nFriday 6 March\n1550 hours\, Race 1 (Inner Harbour Start Area) \n1800 hours\, After race  function in the Quarterdeck Restaurant.  Spot prizes \nBar will be open accepting Visa\, Mastercard and Eftpos only. Complimentary nibbles will be provided.  \nThe Members Bar menu items will be available to purchase. \nSaturday 7 March\n1100 hours\,Race 2 and Race 3 (Northern Leading Start Area) \n1800 hours\, After race function in the Quarterdeck Restaurant.  Spot prize \nBar will be open accepting Visa\, Mastercard and Eftpos only. The Members Bar menu items will be available to purchase. \n  \nSunday 8 March\n\n1100 hours race 4 and 5 (Northen Leading start area) \n\n1800 hours\, After function  in the Quarterdeck Restaurant.  Spot prizes  \nBar will be open accepting Visa\, Mastercard and Eftpos only. DESCRIPTION:28-29th March 2026\n\n\nKennedy Bay Weekend\n\nBUY YOUR PARTY TICKET NOW and come enjoy the bbq and entertainment! \nCalling all classic vessels enthusiasts for a rally down to this iconic bay on Waiheke island. \nCruise or enter in the 5th Passage series race and enjoy the end of the afternoon on the KB lawn\, and let L’Authentique and the CYA entertain you with live music\, barbecue and as usual good camaraderie. \n\nProgram of Event\n\nRALLYING:\nSaturday \n1115 hours\, start of the log rally. \nWhat is a log rally you say?\nIt’s rally where you are given a start time from the committee boat. You are given a number of way points to round before finishing on the finish line. You set your own finish time by charting the speed\, tides\, winds etc to calculate your eta. Without looking at a clock… you adjust your speed and direction as you progress. Finisher closest to their eta wins. A good test of seamanship and understanding your vessel.\n\nThere are a series of 3 log rallies in the 2025-2026 calendar. With a series prize giving (including most improved) at the Lawson’s Dry Hills Round Rangitoto Themed Cake Day 2026.
