Perpetual Guardian Classic Yacht Regatta
The flagship classic racing event of the summer!
The 3-day regatta hosts a delegation of CYAA Australian representatives and is the scene to some truly magical sailing.
The Regatta opens with the skippers briefing on Thursday night. Over the following 3 days the classic yachts compete in 5 races – before returning to RNZYS for a daily after race function.
Food and refreshments will be available each night.
MRX Berths are available for Classic Yachts entered into the regatta – Applications to raceoffice@classicyacht.org.nz and include the following:
- Dates
- Vessel Name
- Owner Name
- Owner mobile number
- Copy of Insurance Certificate for each vessel showing it has a minimum $5million 3rd party liability cover
Program of Event
Thursday 5 March
1830 hours, Meet at RNZYS Regatta HQ (Quarterdeck restaurant) Registration, collection of race documents.
Complimentary nibbles will be provided. Bar will be open accepting Visa, Mastercard and Eftpos only
1900 hours,Race Briefing
Essential attendance of the skipper or a designated crew member.
Friday 6 March
1550 hours, Race 1 (Inner Harbour Start Area)
1800 hours, After race function in the Quarterdeck Restaurant. Spot prizes
Bar will be open accepting Visa, Mastercard and Eftpos only. Complimentary nibbles will be provided.
The Members Bar menu items will be available to purchase.
Saturday 7 March
1100 hours,Race 2 and Race 3 (Northern Leading Start Area)
1800 hours, After race function in the Quarterdeck Restaurant. Spot prize
Bar will be open accepting Visa, Mastercard and Eftpos only. The Members Bar menu items will be available to purchase.
Sunday 8 March
1100 hours race 4 and 5 (Northen Leading start area)
1800 hours, After function in the Quarterdeck Restaurant. Spot prizes
Bar will be open accepting Visa, Mastercard and Eftpos only. Complimentary nibbles will be provided.
The Members Bar menu items will be available to purchase.
1930 hours, Official Prizegiving and presentation of trophies.
Some amazing spot draw prizes to be won! Presence required for crew draw and skipper draw.
