Fully renovated Knud Reimers 1936 designed 28′ Tumlaren. Built in Auckland in the 1950s this beautiful double ended kauri hulled yacht has had a complete refit by the current owner, a NZ shipwright.

During her renovation the hull was sealed and epoxied. A new deck was laid over new laminated deck beams. Varnished combings, a bespoke forward hatch and bronze port lights  finish the cabin top. A new rudder was part of the renovation.

The yacht comes with a brand new mast/boom/rigging/chain plates/ a full set of new sails . A Rocna anchor, steering compass, manual bilge pump, sail and cockpit cover and 2 deck winches are part of the inventory. There is also a purpose built steel cradle available.

The Tumlaren class has had a recent worldwide resurgence with Melbourne having a regular Tumlaren racing class within their classic fleet. It is highly suitable for short crewed classic racing , day sailing and cruising.
