WOODEN BOAT FESTIVAL 13 – 15TH MARCH 2026


The Auckland Wooden Boat Festival will showcase a spectacular collection of more than 200 classic boats, models, and maritime memorabilia from yesteryear – both on and off the water.
Get up close to some of Auckland’s most fascinating maritime history, stories, and treasures along the waterfront.

- Classic yachts launched between 1880–1949
- Classic launches launched between 1880–1949
- Classic dinghies
- Indigenous Pacific and Asian craft
- Classic boat models
- Early steam and mechanical engines
- Historic trophies dating back to the earliest days of yacht racing
- Live boat-building demonstrations
- Sail-making exhibits
- Nautical books, charts, and maritime memorabilia
On the Water & On the Shore:
- Steam boat rides
- The sounds of sea shanties and contemporary music filling the air
- A dedicated Kids’ Zone for the young — and the young at heart
