The Bailey & Lowe launch Winsome, launched in 1918 is looking for a new home. Winsome has been a part of four generations of the Pickmere family since 1924 cruising & charting Northland’s coast.

Length: TM 30.2, OA 34.0 WL 29.5; Bdth: 8.4; Draft 2.7; Builder: W.G.Lowe, Designer W.Bailey; 1918.

Currently Installed: Industrial Nissan S.D 33 (3.3litre – Diesel) Fitted - Marinised and fitted with Borg Warner gearbox off Crysler.  Engine beds rebuilt. Engine enclosed in cover.

Datamarine (USA) digital sounder – Furuno Sounder. V.H.F and C.B. radio.

Saltwater pressure system. Sanden compressor fitted and cockpit helm seat rebuilt incorporating a proper freezer, fridge, and chiller under the cockpit seat.

Galley area rebuilt: Primus out. to accommodate stainless steel sink bench and gas stove (Flavel)

Electric capstan – Lucas, installed. Hinged duckboard fitted

“Rocket Launcher” incorporating S/S Jackstaff with Rod holders, Furuno Radar, C.B. Aerial, Deck and riding lights.

A genuine Classic with all “Mod Cons” for family cruising

Winsome is currently on a marina in Whangarei.
