CYA NEW LAUNCH CAPTAIN

⚓️ Welcome Aboard, Michelle!

Meet Michelle: Our New Launch Captain!
The Classic Yacht Association is delighted to announce that Michelle Khan-Stevenson has volunteered to take the helm as our CYA Launch Captain.
Michelle sees her role as starting conversations across our launch community: talking about our boats, getting out on our boats, restoring and maintaining our boats, and persuading family, friends and newcomers to join us, whether with their own boats or by coming aboard ours for the events we hold during the year.  You get the picture: boats, boats, boats. And plenty more besides!
Michelle brings dynamic energy and a boatload of experience. As many of you know, she co-runs the Auckland Wooden Boat Festival with her husband Tony, has served on the CYA regatta organising team, and is a former CYA deputy chair. In short, she knows her boats—and her boat people. Best of all, she loves getting people involved in boating.  Working with the CYA committee, Michelle will encourage launch members to take
part in events, and she plans to create more opportunities for members to share the stories and adventures of their much-loved launches.
