Three owners (Ken Lee / Peter Gravit / Peter Dallimore)
Peter D, purchased Avalon in 2018 and has done extensive restoration and enhancements (professionally) over the years. (receipts available) It was a difficult decision to place Avalon back on the market, but time to pass her on to her next loving family.
Avalon can be inspected by arrangement at her Tauranga Marina berth. (Whilst this listing is for the launch, the 10m Tauranga Marina berth is also available for sale separately)
Avalon has all the modern conveniences, within a traditional setting. She has been beautifully restored, including new wiring and her woodwork has been brought back like new, with window covers fitted and various teak elements added to match her fit out. The hull has been restored, lovingly repainted and then antifouled each year keeping this girl in tip top condition.
Auto pilot, chart plotter and even a bow thruster has been added for ultimate convenience to ensure pinpoint accuracy when docking in tight spaces.
A foredeck mast has been fitted with a new furling jib sail.
An electric toilet with holding tank, two showers (hot & cold / inside & out), a separate fridge and freezers and nicely appointed galley make overnight stays or those longer adventures a joy. An inflatable dinghy with outboard hinged off the duckboard makes for easy shore leave when at anchor.
The inboard diesel to shaft Cummins engine (1989) provides 60HP and is in well maintained condition. Engine and separate House Batteries have all been replaced in recent years and boasts a solar panel to maintain charge.
Avalon has just been on the hard stand recently with new antifouling completed.
Avalon will come with a full set of tools that Peter is happy to pass on to the new owners, along with all sorts of spare parts that he has gathered over the years.
