$120,000.00

SV Tuarangi is a William Atkin designed “Ingrid” circa 1932 built in 1960 by the legendary Jack Crooks in Invercargill. The hull is Totara on Australian hardwood and below decks she is beautifully crafted with Kauri and Afromorsia. She had an extensive no expense spared refit in 1994 by Greg Dougherty Boat Builders Auckland that laid the foundation for a timeless quality yacht

Soon after being launched she became the first South Island built boat to achieve a world circumnavigation. More recently the current owners have clocked up over 15000Nm, including a year long cruise to Vanuatu, New Caledonia and the 2015 Wooden Boat Festival in Hobart.

William Aitken described her as ” the kind of boat that behaves in rough water. She can be depended upon to sail herself. She is ableness personified and equal to any situation.

In the sleeping area there is a double and a single berth, with an additional 3 berths in the saloon where there is a wood burning stove to provide warmth during those cooler months. The spacious galley has a large fridge and freezer.
